Expect a quiet start to your Friday; though showers and storms will likely pick up in coverage through the early afternoon hours and into the evening. Highs will top out in the lower to middle 90s. Downpours could cause delays for high school football games around the region Friday evening. A line of storms may drop into the area through early Saturday morning. Throughout Friday, a few storms could be strong.
Main time frame of the strong storms today will be between 4 PM - 9 PM with strong winds and hail possible. Heavy rainfall and frequent lightning will also be there too.
Several disturbances will drop into the region, bringing occasional rounds of showers and storms. For Saturday, a few waves of rain may be possible amid the chance for a strong storm or two. Highs will work their way to the upper 80s and lower 90s. Sunday will feature a similar look as another disturbance moves near the area.
In the tropics, Tropical Storm Ernesto has formed in the north central Atlantic. The storm will continue to move northward and stay out to sea; losing steam over the cooler water of the Atlantic, though the remnants of the storm could have an impact on Ireland, England and Scotland by the end of the weekend.
