Cowboys and Cowgirls from across the country are in Jackson for the 14th Annual Black Rodeo. The festivities started at 10 a.m. with a parade through the streets of downtown Jackson.

Hinds County Deputies, Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart and Jackson Police were also on horseback among the riders in the parade route.

They were joined by kids on horses, tractor trailers, souped up cars and trucks, as well as motorcycles and four-wheelers.

It was all ahead of the bull riding, calf roping and much more during The Real Cowboy Association's "Baddest Show on Dirt", which takes place at the Mississippi Coliseum.

"Good food, good people, a good environment, just a lot of good fun and everybody should come out and support and have good fun with us," said Daniel Sumrall, who rode his horse Onyx in the parade.
