Joshua Blunt, the man accused in the death of his 8-month-old daughter, has been indicted by a Grenada County Grand Jury.
Blunt went to work on May 19 and said he forgot his daughter was in his car. Hours later, Shania Rihanna Caradine was found dead.
The Grand Jury indicted Blunt for manslaughter. The True Bill said he did "unlawfully, feloniously by culpable negligence and without authority of law cause the death of his daughter.
Following the indictment, Blunt's attorney, Carlos Moore, released the following statement:
We are extremely disappointed in the criminal justice system. It just seems time and time again that the justice system is not alive or fair in Mr. Blunt's case.
