Two teenage boys have been arrested in the armed robbery of Hilltop Grocery on Hwy 98 East.
18-year-old Mario Jennings from Magnolia Mississippi has been arrested and 17-year-old Keith Patterson from McComb Mississippi.
The two have been charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, and conspiracy to commit. Their total bond for these charges is $250,000.
Just before 3 p.m. Monday, Pike County Deputies responded to a reported armed robbery at the Exxon gas station on Hwy 98 West in McComb.
Employees said that they had just finish sweeping the parking lot and emptying the trash cans when three men came running inside with a black gun.
The men ran to the counter and pointed the gun in the face of an employee. One of the men started yelling.
Two of the men were standing behind the counter with the employee while the other man stood in front of the counter with the gun pointed in her face. She couldn't open the drawer fast enough, so employees said that the men started getting very angry.
Once the drawer was opened, they took the money and ran back out the door.
Once the employee walked outside, she saw the men possibly running through a open field located on the east side of the store.
The three men were wearing black caps, white t-shirts covering their mouth, and black shirts. One of the men had a long sleeve white shirt underneath his black t-shirt.
Police now have two of these men in custody and charged.
