Young Brandon actor to star in two fall movie release

Aiden Flowers, a rising acting star from Rankin county, hopes to be appearing in back to back hit movies in e fall. 

Last week we met his twin sisters, Camden and Carsen, who have roles in "Free State of Jones" in eaters now.

Aiden has built quite the film resume but only after being talked into it by his sisters. 

"Nate Parker's "Birth of a Nation" that's going to be an incredible film. Critics love it," said the  talented young actor.

And having appeared in the film that set records at the Sundance Film Festival, Aiden Flowers is looking forward to its October 7 release.

It stars Nate Parker as Nat Turner, the slave who led a rebellion in Virginia in 1831. Parker wrote the screenplay and stars and directs the film.

The young Brandon actor plays the young version of Turner's friend John Paul.

"I have a fairly big role in that movie. I'm really excited to see how that turns out," said Aiden.

His film credits include his favorite "Maggie" where he worked several weeks with Arnold Schwarzenegger. He's also appeared in "The Big Short", which won an Academy Award. 

On September 30, catch him in "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" shot in London and directed by Tim Burton. His hair was dyed black, and he wore contacts for the 10 year old version of the main character Jack played by Asa Butterfield.

"This child is the son of what people call a peculiar and that means he has some powers, it's odd," Aiden recounts of his character.

The 11 year old, who will be attending Brandon Middle School in the fall, has appeared in 18 feature releases.

"In London last year they flew him out first class. It was amazing," said mother Mandye Flowers. "He had the best experience. That kind of stuff  you know he'll remember that for the rest of his life if he ever books another role".

He also starred as the Ping Pong kid in a commercial with Peyton Manning.

"We took a chance, took a leap of faith and now I'm here," added the young performer who is strongly considering acting as a career.
