Another Mississippi native is heading to Rio.
Houston native Shaquille Vance was selected Sunday to be apart of the United States Paralympic Team.
According to TeamUSA.org , the U.S. Paralympics, a division of the United States Olympic Committee, announced 66 athletes will represent Team USA in track & field at the 2016 Paralympic Games.
The website said 40 men and 26 women are on the roster, in addition to three guides for visually impaired athletes, who will compete in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from September 7-18.
Vance will compete in his 2nd Paralympics.
He won silver in the 2012 200m and 6th in shot put. He also finished 8th in the 100m.
