JACKSON, MS (WLBT) -

The McDuffie family has experienced a devastating loss, after a tree fell on Queensroad Ave. on Tuesday, and damaged their home and cars.

Overnight, they suffered another loss.

Burglars broke into the McDuffie's home Tuesday night, while the family was forced to spend the night elsewhere.

John McDuffie said, when he returned to the house on Wednesday, he found three guns and a sword missing, from what is left of his house.

"This is just sorry for somebody to come here and do something like that after I fed them and give them beer, put money in their pockets, to come back in my house and take my stuff," McDuffie said. "The guns are a Remington camouflage, 22, 2 22's, all got scopes, a 30/30 with a scope - they all got shoulder bands, all of them."

The burglars also took several bullets.

The McDuffies are struggling to get back on their feet.  They didn't have insurance on the home they were renting to own, and they are having to use savings to pay for the cleanup.

"We down to nothing, everything we got is coming out of my pocket, but for somebody to come here and start taking from me, from what I got left, it's Christless," said McDuffie. "I don't understand that."
