JACKSON, MS (WLBT) -

Two suspects, wanted in connection to an April shooting at a Jackson apartment complex, have been arrested in Alabama.

JPD Commander Tyree Jones said 21-year-old Jamerio Hudson and 21-year-old Ontario Williams were arrested in Birmingham, AL., stemming from an  unrelated investigation.

Jones said both men are charged with aggravated assault, in the shooting of Kardius Warden.

Warden was shot multiple times at Westwick Apartments on April 6.

Commander Jones said the suspects were described as two back males, who were last seen leaving the scene on foot. During the course of the investigation JPD's detectives were able to identify Hudson and Williams as suspects in the shooting incident. Warrants for both men's arrests have been issued.

Jones said once both men are released from jail in Ala., the extradition process will begin to return them back to Jackson.

Commander Jones said the investigations involving the men is ongoing.
