According to Director of Public Affairs Marc Rolph, UMMC is working to fix air conditioning issues in some parts of the hospital.
Rolph says that a motor in an air conditioning unit failed some time right before the weekend.
This outage is not affecting the entire hospital, but some patients in the critical care unit did need to be moved to different areas of the hospital.
Rolph said some floors did get warm and over the weekend managers had to make adjustments to patient placements.
They also provided portable air conditioners.
He says the new motor has been ordered and is being installed right now.
The issues should be completely resolved by tomorrow morning.
He also said this time they ordered an extra unit that way so they will have one available if an outage happens again.
