Jackson Police have concluded a death investigation regarding the death of an elderly woman found underneath her home

The State Medical Examiner ruled the death for 78-year-old Louise Baker accidental by electrocution.

On Sunday, May 29, Jackson Police were called to 1044 Wynwood St., where officers learned that the body of a female, later identified as Baker had been discovered by a relative underneath her home.

She was pronounced dead on scene.

JPD Commander Tyree Jones said authorities do not believe that her body was placed underneath the home and her body showed no signs of trauma.

Jones said family members had not heard from or seen Baker since Saturday afternoon. They reported her missing to authorities around 7:40 a.m. Sunday.

Relatives later returned to the residence and discovered Baker's body around 4 p.m.

The family of Baker does not believe that she was electrocuted and they think that the cause of her death is foul play.

Family members held a press conference on Tuesday and said that Baker would never have crawled beneath her home or left her house in the condition that it was found.

"And as we were trying to close the door... the back door... a gentleman, he found a pair of panties on the doorknob," Baker's sister, Mamie Randle said. "And I know Baker don't do no stuff like that. and so it was poorly investigated... and we want some answers."
