39-year-old Timothy Frank Taylor from Purvis plead guilty to Capitol Murder of Claudette Ezell that took place in May of 2013.

Taylor was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

DA Hall Kittrell states, "My office has consulted with Ms. Ezell's family regarding the prosecution of this case.  We abided by their wishes and did not seek the death penalty in exchange of this case.  We are happy that this case was resolved without putting the victim's family through the hardship of a trail and sincerely hope they can find some peace in knowing this murderer will spend the rest of his life in prison."

In 2013 Taylor went to 76-year-old Ezelle's home to buy prescription medicine.

Ezelle pulled a B-B gun on him and he hit her over the head then set a fire under the couch.

He then left the scene with the prescription medicine.

Taylor spent 2 years in prison and as a condition of release he got 5 years probation.

He then waited for the murder trail, which took place today, May 24.
