Three people accused in violent capital murder cases in Jackson came face to face with a judge Monday in a Hinds County courtroom.
No bond for 19-year-old accused triple killer, Joshua Dukes. A weapon was recovered from Dukes girlfriend's vehicle after e murder of Daniel Sanchez and Eli Gomez, according to testimony in court, e ballistics match.The men were shot then robbed in front of their home during a cookout.
The same gun was allegedly used to kill James Hankins The 85 year old man man was gunned down in the front yard of his McClure road home February 13.
In a separate capital murder and robbery case, no bond for Shaneka Brown, She is accused of murdering Kiaris Porter. Porter was found on Noble street April 29, he was shot in the head. According to testimony, Porter had just made an ATM withdrawal.
The 24 year old is one of 4 suspects arrested in the murder of Porter.
Judge Melvin Priester called another suspect a "danger to the public." Christopher Bennett is charged with killing Chivas McElveen May 9 in northeast Jackson. The accused killer was out on bond for a felony drug case in Madison County.
According to an eyewitness Bennett shot McElveen multiple times as the victim was pleading for his life.
All of the cases will be turned over to a Hinds County Grand jury.
