Starkville Oktibbeha School Superintendent Lewis Holloway is behind bars after authorities say he allegedly fired a gun into the air.
Sunday afternoon, Oktibbeha County deputies were called to Mt. Olive Road in reference to the disturbance.Authorities say they did seize a gun for safe keeping and other parties involved signed affidavits against Holloway.
A warrant was issued and Holloway was booked in the Oktibbeha County jail on two counts of simple assault and threatening.
His bond was set at $1,000 and he awaits a court date.
The Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District is meeting Monday night to discuss the incident.
