A rally to unify Mississippi citizens was held Saturday at the State Capitol.
According to organizers, the Revival of the Republic Rally was a gathering of conservative minds, designed to address issues facing the state and the nation.
Various groups from across Mississippi were represented.
The state flag controversy was among the discussions, which included getting more people engaged in the political process.
"All the different things that people are upset about the single issue, the flag, the SCOTUS ruling on gay marriage, abortion, Planned Parenthood, all of that. They're all awful things, but they're symptoms of a greater issue, which is the overreach of government," said organizer Cheramie Kaybills.
More than 100 people attended the rally.
