Jason Hursh promoted to Gwinnett

PEARL (MississippiBraves.com) - Mississippi Braves RHP Jason Hursh has been promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett from Double-A Mississippi. No corresponding move was announced.

Hursh was 3-6 with a 5.14 ERA in 24 games, 15 starts, for the M-Braves this season. Since moving to the bullpen in July, Hursh posted a 1-0 record with two saves and a 2.25 ERA in nine relief appearances. The right-hander went 11-7 with a 3.58 ERA in 27 games for the M-Braves last season and was named Braves Organizational Pitcher of the Year. His 11 wins tied for fourth-most in the Southern League.

A 2013 first round pick by the Braves out of Oklahoma State University, Hursh's ERA ranked sixth among all Braves farmhands in 2014.
