Hinds County Judge shuts down gas station 'drug trap'

A Jackson gas station remains closed, after being shut down by a Hinds County Judge.

County Constable Jerry Moore says the gas station behind Twin Peaks, which is owned by the same people who own Express Fuel off Bailey Avenue in Jackson, is closed because it's a drug trap and residents don't want it open.

Yesterday, they took action.

Constable Moore said, "It was happening when they had the store open. Before they could get started here we were already on them to shut them down. But in the other store there was the selling of spice, the sale of other illegal things, buying stolen merchandise things of that nature."

The document was placed on the door yesterday.

So far, there has been no word from the owners.
