Julia Weiden's First Alert Wednesday Forecast
**A Heat Advisory is in effect for much of central MS until 7pm, where temperatures will feel as hot as 110°. An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect until 7pm for the Delta, where temperatures will feel as hot as 115°."
AM Commute: It's another muggy morning! The sun comes up at 6:13 AM. Temperatures start off in the upper 70s and low 80s. We'll be in the mid 90s by 9 AM. There isn't much of a chance for rain, just hazy skies.
This Afternoon: The oppressive heat hangs tough. Highs reach the upper 80s but feel as hot as 110° in most areas, with the Delta as hot as 115°. Most of the day is partly cloudy, but spotty storms are capable of developing in the afternoon. A few storms could have heavy downpours and gusty winds.
Tonight: The setting sun (8:00 PM) should help to cut off any evening storms. Tonight will be partly cloudy with lows in the mid 70s.
Looking Ahead: Thursday will be hot and very muggy with the chance for afternoon storms. Some storms could reach severe criteria with strong winds. A cold front will be passing through, making for drier conditions Friday and the weekend. While it won't really be cooler (temps in the mid 90s) it will feel better with lower humidity.
