JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson Police swarmed a Northeast Jackson home Wednesday, and the man they were looking for was put in cuffs. Police tell us 19-year-old Torez White was arrested and is facing multiple charges.

Officers went to 233 Southbrook Drive in what looked like police serving a search warrant. They tell us 19 year old Torez White was arrested and taken to headquarters. He is now charged with two counts of felony receiving and possession of stolen goods.

"So happy that the police are here and responded," said one neighbor.

Police are being tight lipped about the case, but one neighbor says the man put in cuffs is believed to have recently broken into a neighbor's home.

"He stole personal items, tv's and even stole the kid's vacation money from a jar from someone's home," said the neighbor. "And that's despicable."

The victim said his home was broken into a couple of weeks ago. He says he saw some of the items stolen posted on Instagram and that's when he called police.

One of those items he says, was a pair of red and white Jordan shoes. After police left the scene, a man living in the home motioned for the victim to come to his property. The victim says the man gave him his stolen pair of Jordan's.

White is also charged with disobeying and resisting arrest. JPD says additional charges are pending.
