JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - More than 20 thousand people have enrolled for the Affordable Care Act in Mississippi. So, what do you need to know about ObamaCare for 2015?

The carousel of health care coverage continues to spin. The Supreme Court will hear another lawsuit this upcoming year regarding President Obama's Affordable Health Care Act.

The case will be heard in March regarding the president's plan for providing health insurance to those people who can not receive coverage through their jobs. Some argue the law is written for the government to subsidize coverage in states that have their own insurance markets or exchanges.

"You know for many Mississippians this is an opportunity that they've never had and that's to actually have access to affordable and quality health insurance and I think it's important for Mississippians to take advantage of it," said Mississippi Health Advocacy Program Communication Assistant Kristian Weatherspoon.

Right now nearly six point seven million people are signed up for Obama Care across America and narrowing that down to our state, Weatherspoon says nearly 29 thousand people are signed up in Mississippi.

"It's definitely important for people who enrolled last period to go back," added Weatherspoon. "Some plans have changed, some plans have been eliminated and you want to actually go back and see. You may qualify for subsidies if you've had a change in household income you'll want to go back and see if there are other plans you want to enroll in."
If you haven't enrolled, it's not too late. you have have until February 15 to enroll. All taxpayers will have to report on their 2014 tax return whether or not they had insurance.

The Supreme Court is expected to hand down a decision in June.
