Craig's List robbers busted

Police make two arrests related to recent Craigslist robberies

A gloomy Friday afternoon with temps in the low 50's. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

On Friday night, November 28, around 8:30, Ridgeland police officers responded to 110 Pine Knoll Drive in reference to a robbery of an individual and learned this individual had answered a Craigslist add related to a poster selling an iPhone.  Now, two individuals are under arrest for the crime.

Plus, a hunter, 64-year-old Rickey Kennedy of Vidalia, was shot to death, accidentally, by an unidentified hunting partner at a hunting camp near Highway 33 North and Old Hamburg Road this morning.

And,  73-year-old Rose Clayton Cochran, wife of Senator Thad Cochran, died peacefully, this morning, at Hospice Ministries after a long battle with dementia.
