Brad Peterson leaving Brandon for Madison Central

BRANDON, MS (WLBT) - The Madison Central vacancy was one of the biggest stories in Mississippi high school football.

Bobby Hall announced October 30th that he would step down as head coach at the end of the season. A big name in the metro has decided to don Big Blue.

Brad Peterson will leave Brandon to become the new Madison Central head coach.

Peterson turned the Bulldog program into one of the best in the 6A classification.

He had 50 wins in 5 seasons, including an appearance in the 2012 6A State Championship.

The Bulldogs have won 10 or more games in 5 consecutive seasons. Brandon finished 12-2 in 2014, falling to Oak Grove in the 6A South State Championship.

Peterson will take over another elite program in 6A. Madison Central finished 6-5 in 2014, snapping a 12-year streak of postseason appearances.
