Arrests made after shooting at Vicksburg party

VICKSBURG, MS (WLBT) -

On November 22 at around midnight police responded to a shooting in the 3100 block of Washington St. 

Officers say that the homeowner hosted a party and a large number of people were there.

A fight erupted and police say at least three people were shot. The victims are 17-year-old Tyree Barnett, 21-year-old Alton Burden, Jr. and 21-year-old Shemarr Horton.

All three were treated and released from the hospital.

On Tuesday, investigators arrested 18-year-old Billdevon Shelton and charged him with three counts of aggravated assault. 

Police say more arrests are expected.

They also arrested 21-year-old Roderick Burden, Jr. and charged him with a felon being in possession of a firearm. So far, he has not been charged in connection with the shooting on Washington St. 

Both are scheduled to appear in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Wednesday
