Teens might get enough ZZZZ's

Posted: Updated:

Federal guidelines recommend teens get nine hours of sleep a night but a new study suggests... Maybe not.

The findings show more sleep can actually hurt your teen's grades. Most teens say they get 6 to seven hours a night, and a Brigham Young researcher says that's the optimum amount they need.

This study is the first to analyze the school performance of teens, and their sleep routines.

The study is published in the Eastern Economic Journal.
