Maternal migraines linked to colic

Posted: Updated:

While you may think having a baby with colic would cause a migraine -- a new study suggests it's the other way around.

Researchers studied one hundred fifty new mothers, whose babies were showing signs of colic. They found women who suffered migraines were two times more likely to have babies with colic.

The researchers say they have long thought colic is a precursor to migraines later in life -- and these babies may be more sensitive to stimuli in their environment.
