JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Ricky Robinson of the Internal Affairs division of the Jackson Police Department took the stand Tuesday in the Tawanna Sandifer civil trial.

He testified that during his investigation into officers Kenneth Talton and Maurice Clark, both admitted to receiving oral sex from Tawanna Sandifer.  Both officers are no longer on the force.

Clark was in the courtroom for most of the day, but was never called to testify. He tells WLBT, all the allegations against him are false.

Detective Joseph Wade testified Tuesday morning that officer Kenneth Talton did not call dispatch and report he was transporting Tawanna, which is a violation of department policy.

Plaintiff's attorneys rested, and Jackson city attorneys have begun to call their witnesses.

Sixteen-year-old Tawanna Sandifer was found murdered in Presidential Hills park in 2006. After her death it was revealed she was having inappropriate relationships with two Jackson Police officers.

The Sandifer family is now seeking damages from the city of Jackson. They are seeking the maximum penalty of $500,000.00.
