JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Two Jackson teens are in jail, and could spend the rest of their lives there, after being arrested on felony charges Halloween night.

These two teens are accused of robbing a man at gunpoint Saturday evening. Police say it happened on Valley Street, just south of Highway 80.

Investigators say 14-year-old Tony Austin and 15-year-old Jaylon Spires are both being charged with one count of armed robbery. It's a serious charge that carries a sentence of up to life in prison for a conviction.

Police say they only got four dollars off their victim.

The victim immediately contacted police, who tracked the boys down, near where the crime occurred.

Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith says the teens age could be a factor when it comes to the length of their jail sentence.

Bail for Austin and Spires has been set at $25,000 each.
