The case of missing bank executive Mark Ginn is beginning to look more like a criminal investigation.
WLBT has learned a Jackson business owner may be the victim of some fraudulent loan activity by Ginn. As WLBT first reported, the FBI is investigating suspicious transactions at the bank where the 52-year-old Ginn was employed.
Sources tell us Warren Logan, the owner of this business, Graves Auto Electric on Highway 80 West, recently discovered two separate 50-thousand dollar loans on property he owns...loans he apparently did not seek.
We are told Logan's signature was forged on loan documents. He could not be reached for comment. Ginn was employed at this Bankplus Branch in Byram at the time of his April 14th disappearance.
A member of the Hinds County Sheriff's Department, who asked not to be identified, confirmed there is an investigation into what appears to be a series of "ghost" or fraudulent loans made by Ginn to cover other questionable loans.
However, Captain Steve Pickett, spokesman for the Sheriff's Department, says the department is only investigating a missing person case.
Bankplus officials would not comment only saying they are cooperating with authorities.
WLBT received numerous calls and emails saying Ginn has been seen in the Caribbean Island of Barbados, but authorities tell us that is just a rumor.
