WLBT 3 - Jackson, MS: Pets Just Want to Have Fun

Children enjoyed rides and other fun attractions on the greens in front of the War Memorial. And on the street, spirited mutts had a chance to strut in their "own" event. This year's pet parade was quite a sight to see! Dogs of every size took part. Some were dressed top to bottom in green. Others took a more subtle approach. Dog owners say it's a great opportunity to show off their beloved pets.
Pet Owner: "This is Maggie and her cousin Gracie, they're both Maltese. They're our little babies, family. We just decided to come out today.
Pet Owner 2: "This is Titus P, English Bulldog. He's 18 months, and he's a nice guy. He likes to check food bowls."
Each year the pet parade and contest raises several hundred dollars for the Mississippi Animal Rescue League.
