The case of a missing National Guard soldier has been turned over to federal authorities. Private Ryan Longnecker of the Kentucky National Guard and two of his weapons went missing August 7th of last year during training at Camp Shelby near Hattiesburg.
In the six months since his disappearance, military officials say they have developed no leads and have turned the case over to the U.S. Marshals Service. Longnecker's unit deployed to Iraq two weeks after his disappearance.
