WLBT 3 - Jackson, MS: Wisconsin Woman Killed in I-55 Wreck

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal wreck on Interstate 55. It happened around 10:30 Sunday night in Copiah County, just north of the Mt. Zion Road exit.
Highway Patrol officials say a Wisconsin couple, Michael and Stacy Polasik, were rear-ended by a Mercury Marquis driven by Mary J. Williams, 26. The impact sent the Polasiks' GMC Yukon off the highway and into some trees. S
Stacy Polasik, 30, was killed. Her husbands injuries were moderate, according to MHP officials.
They say there were passengers in Williams' car, but no one in the car was hurt.
Sergeant James Walker of the Highway Patrol says toxicology reports will determine if alcohol was a factor in the wreck.
