
Jimmy Heidel has announced he will leave his job as economic cevelopment consultant for the city of Jackson at the end of the month. He cites health reasons. Heidel suffered a stroke in November.
Heidel served as Mississippi's top economic developer during the two terms of Governor Kirk Fordice's administration. He's been consulting for the capital city now for nearly two years.
He says he will continue to work part time on some projects.
