Teen Files Sexual Assault Lawsuit

A Holmes County school employee faces a one million dollar sexual assault lawsuit, filed by a student and her mother. The 14-year-old student claims cafeteria worker Harold Epps sexually assaulted her on a district bus, when the school band was returning from a Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade in Grenada.

Other defendants listed in the suit are District Superintendent Steven Bailey and J.J. McClain School Principal Percy Washington. The teen's attorney says the district was negligent for failing to monitor Epps, who was 20 at the time of the alleged assault.

The defendants have 30 days to respond to the lawsuit.
