This week Crime Stoppers needs your help catching a bank robber. Jackson police believe he may be responsible for two robberies in the same vicinity on separate days. You could be rewarded for information that leads to an arrest in these cases.
This week Crime Stoppers needs your help in tracking down the man responsible for the March 28th robbery of the Regions Bank on Robinson Road. The suspect, described as a black male wearing a black shirt and a red hat, walked in and handed the teller a note demanding money.
"Entered the bank, he put his hand towards the back of his waistband to indicate he had a weapon," said Commander Lee Vance of the Jackson Police Department.
Police say the bank robber left with an undetermined amount of money in a green Ford mustang with a white convertible top. Investigators believe the same man may be responsible for another bank heist a month earlier, just a few hundred yards away at this Trustmark bank at Metrocenter.
On February 23rd this man was caught on bank surveillance cameras during a heist. His cap is very similar to the one worn by the regions robber. No weapon was shown in either case. If you have any information on these robberies, call Crime Stoppers at 355-tips. That's 355-8477. You could receive up to a thousand dollars for any information that leads to an arrest.
