Surveillance Video Released in Store Robbery and Shooting

Jackson police are searching for two men who robbed a Jackson store, one of them shooting the store clerk as he was running out.

The robbery happened Friday at the Quickstop in the 1500 block of McDowell Road.

Sunday store owners released surveillance video which shows two men robbing the clerk and then shooting him.

Kamalbir Singh, the clerk, was shot in the side. He was treated at Central Mississippi Medical Center and is now at home recovering from his wound.

The video shows one of the men, the shooter, entering the store, taking a carton of milk to the counter, producing the gun and pointing it at Singh.

Another man enters, takes money from the register and both exit the store.

The two were last seen on foot, going south on Oak Forest.

If you know either of them, please call Jackson police at 601-960-1234.
