Vicksburg police are on the hunt for the Hinds County man who held up the Ameristar Casino then carjacked a vehicle as he fled.
Police say 21 year old Thomas McGrigs walked into the Ameristar just after 6 Monday night and held up a cashier. It was all caught on tape.
Investigators say McGrigs, who has a previous record, dropped his cell phone and a bag containing a large amount of money while escaping.
Vicksburg Police Chief Detective Mark Culbertson says, "He (McGrigs) stood back from the cage as if he was talking on the cell phone, let several people come and go there at the cage until it was vacant. He stepped up, threw the bag on the counter and of course produced the weapon."
The carjacked vehicle is a gold 2002 Ford Eplorer with Rankin County license plate 741 RBB. If you have any information contact Vicksburg police.
