Are you longing for a pair of designer jeans...but don't like designer prices? You might want to look outside the mall this shopping season.
"This is real fine quality merchandise," said Frankie Ellis, owner of Ellis Furniture and Co.
From New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf coast have made their way to the metro area - thanks to Hurricane Katrina.
Ellis said, "9 out of 10 times the merchandise is perfect they just want it out of the building that's when the insurance companies take over that's when we buy it from them and bring it to Jackson.
Ellis Furniture and Company in Ridgeland is selling items from Beau Rivage... everything from shoes to ornaments.
Lelia Dodson said, "I think it's wonderful I have had fun nights at the Beau Rivage I'd like to find something from there."
Brand names like Tommy Bahama and St.John are half off the retail price. Kashwere robes, are on Oprah Winfrey's favorite things list...they're normally $125 dollars, but are $62.50
Bargain hunters also go to Hudson's in Ridgeland "I'm one to always look for sales especially during the holiday season and then you want to avoid the crowds oh goodness."
Hudson's employees said they sell the same things you'd find at a department store...but at lower prices. You may have to dig around, but shoppers say the treasure is worth the hunt.
