Don't be surprised if you see the loser of Tuesday's mayoral race in Jackson at the winner's victory party.
Republican candidate Rick Whitlow says he and Democratic opponent Frank Melton have decided to stand together, regardless of who wins the election.
Whitlow says they have a great deal of respect for each other and that's why they have run a positive and quiet campaign.
"He'll come to my place if he loses, and I'll go to his if I (lose)," Whitlow told WLBT. "We're going to stand together."
When asked if he wanted to work in a Melton administration, Whitlow said: "I want to work with him and vice versa."
A Melton campaign spokeswoman said he was not available for comment.
