Man Wanted for Fondling Women

Jackson police are searching for a man accused of fondling women in the downtown area.

Six women have reported being accosted by a white male in business attire.

The first reports of the incidents were made to police about a week ago.

The man, who calls himself Michael, is accused of approaching women in broad daylight then touching them inappropriately.

Police say the majority of the incidents occurred in the Capitol and Lamar Street area.

He is described as a five feet ten inches tall ,weighing about 170 pounds.

He has brown hair with very blue eyes.

A tattoo or word is also in the webbing between his thumb and forefinger.

Asst. Chief Darryl Smith says,"He strikes up a conversation, a casual conversation with the individuals and then he starts displaying this bizarre behavior and once he's challenged then he just walks off basically."

The man is facing various assault charges and was last seen driving a full sized white pick-up truck.

The make and model of the truck are unknown.
