
JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A former chief of the state highway patrol has died.
Donald Butler suffered a massive heart attack while attending a meeting in Jackson Wednesday, according to the Department of Public Safety's spokesperson Jon Kalahar.
Butler was taken to University Medical Center where he later died.
Butler was currently serving as a staff assistant to the commissioner of public safety.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
