The New Beginnings Bridal and Formal Wear business is on Pascagoula Street in Jackson, just across the street from a Department Of Corrections facility where those on probation, report to their probation officers.
Jennifer Cole, manager of the business says a 48-year-old man named Nobel Ray Bell, who is a convicted sex offender, who reports there, is stalking her and has written her a suggestive letter.
Bell has served a just over one year sentence for sexual battery and has a long record of previous offenses for burglary and robbery. Jennifer Cole is very upset about it all.
Bell was picked up Friday morning for failure to report his status as a sexual offender and is now in the Hinds County Jail. When we tried to take pictures of the department of corrections facility, our photographer, who was on public property, was harassed by a man who came out of the building.
Corrections Commissioner Chris Epps was out of town and unavailable for comment.
