JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - 700 needy families in Madison County can look forward to a Thanksgiving meal with all the fixings thanks to MadCAAP. Madison County allied against poverty collected canned food and other non perishables along with turkeys.
The boxes of food will go to the families that live at or below the poverty level. Friday the nonprofit got a helping hand from 55 students from Veritas School in Jackson.
"I hope they can have some joy felt from what we have done to get them food for the holidays and may be we can give thanks for that," said Veritas School student Augusta Williams.
MadCAAP is fully funded by donations. If you are interested in helping out this holiday season you can visit their website http://madcaap.org/.
