MENDENHALL, MS (WLBT) - Three men charged with capital murder faced a Simpson County judge Thursday.
Bryce Mills, Rodrick Gilbert, and Christopher Hubbard are all charged with capital murder.
These charges stem from the murder of 44 year old Flynt Lee. Lee's body was discovered floating in the strong river in august of 2009. His pick-up truck was found burned and riddled with bullet holes.
The suspects were brought before Simpson County Justice Court Judge Eugene Knight, who denied bond on the capital murder charge for all three.
Thirty-seven year old Bryce Mills is also charged with possession of a fire arm and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
Thirty-two year old Roderick Gilbert is also charged with burglary of a vehicle and grand larceny, and twenty-five year old Christopher Hubbard of Mendenhall is also charged with burglary and grand larceny.
Bond was set at $25,000 on those charges. A preliminary hearing is set for December 10th.
The mother of the victim, Audell Lou Lee of Mendenhall has no idea why her son was murdered.
"What would have been a motive for this, in your judgement? I don't know, he never did bother nobody, but I know he had friends" said Lee. "It's just, ah I don't know what they did it for."
Law enforcement officers believe the murder was a completely random act, after Lee was found asleep in his truck on a road side.
