Tip leads to drug bust arrests

ITAWAMBA COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - Acting on a tip, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics agents arrested two Itawamba County men.

The pair was arrested in connection with the seizure of about 12 pounds of marijuana. Officers also seized an automatic weapon and more than 400 dollars cash.

19-year-old josh Shewbart of Fulton faces one count of conspiracy to possess marijuana.

22-year-old Harvey Jake Childers, of Golden, is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell or distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Both are being held at the Itawamba County Detention Center. No bond has been set.
