
A Jackson man goes on trial this week for shooting a local war veteran several times.
Leo Wells is standing trial this week for the March 7th shooting and robbery of Iraqi war veteran, Michael Robinson.
Investigators say Wells and another man, approached Robinson near the Four Seasons apartments on McWillie Drive, and demanded money at gunpoint.
The men opened fire, hitting Robinson six times. Leo Wells is charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery.
Jury selection began Monday. Opening statements will begin Tuesday.
