JACKSON, MS (WLBT) -The 2010 International Ballet Competition comes to Jackson next year.
The IBC held a press conference Tuesday morning at the Pinnacle in downtown Jackson, where the 2010 commemorative poster, created by Brent Funderburk, was unveiled.
Competition officials also announced the world-famous dance company Bad Boys of Dance will perform at opening ceremonies.
The two-week long "Olympic style" competition begins June 12th at Thalia Mara Hall.
The IBC comes to Jackson once every four years and is considered one of the premier ballet competitions in the world.
The IBC first came to Jackson in 1979 and draws some 40 thousand visitors to the city.
Most of the dancers call Belhaven College home while they are in town for the competition.
Tickets will go on sale to the public beginning in January.
