WLBT 3 - Jackson, MS: A House Fire Claims the Life of an Elderly Woman

ATTALA COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - A 91-year-old woman died in an apparent victim of a house fire Sunday night.
It happened around 8 p.m. on Attala Road 4203 in Sallis.
The Attala County Coroner identified the victim as Willie Lee Davis. Her cause of death is unknown at this time, pending autopsy results.
Attala County and Sallis volunteer fire fighters responded to the scene.
The Attala County Sheriff's Department was also on hand to handle the large crowd blocking the road in front of the house.
It took firefighters almost two hours to contain the blaze.
