JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The Koscuisko Police Department is mourning the loss of one of their own. Officer Joseph Fulton was killed early Sunday morning.
Koscuisko Police Chief Ronnie J. Adams would not make any comments Sunday, but according to a source on the scene, Officer Fulton crashed his patrol car on Stonewall Road outside of Ethel. Sources say it all started around 2:45 Sunday morning when officers tried to stop a Buick Roadmaster on East Jefferson Street. The vehicle sped away and a chase ensued outside the city limits. That's when Fulton lost control of his car. Chief Adams is expected to release a statement about the death of officer Fulton Monday.
