WLBT 3 - Jackson, MS: Runoff ballot set for Adams County Sheriff's race

ADAMS COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - The ballot was set Thursday for a runoff election for Adams County Sheriff.
The Natchez Democrat reports Chuck Mayfield has defeated Randy Freeman by 100 votes.
Mayfield will face Ray Brown, who led the race in Tuesday's special election.
The runoff is slated for November 24th.
Sheriff Ronny Brown died in march, and his wife, Angie has served since that time.
