MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - A perjury charge has been dropped against a juror in a 2008 capital murder trial in Montgomery County.

James Bibbs was one of two jurors charged in October 2008 with perjury following the fifth trial of Curtis Giovanni Flowers.

Flowers is accused of shooting to death, four people in 1996. A judge accused Bibbs of lying to the court so he could serve on the jury. Bibbs pleaded not guilty and the state attorney general's office dropped the charge stating insufficient evidence.

The other juror, Mary Purnell is scheduled for trial November 16th in Belzoni.
