OXFORD, MS (WMC-TV) - A deadly standoff in Oxford ends with the suspected gunman in custody.

It happened inside a house in the upscale "Grand Oaks" Subdivision along Highway 7, east of town. The alleged shooter has been identified as 24-year-old Bilethon Autry of Oxford. He is being held at the Lafayette County Detention Center pending formal charges.

Officials say Autry shot and killed his brother 50-year-old Charlie Ray Hodge inside Autry's father's home. Then, with Oxford police surrounding the house Autry came outside and fired at officers.

A woman inside the home escaped during this time and told authorities her father was hiding in the attic.

Eventually, the SWAT team entered the home and took Autry into custody.

No one else was injured in the incident.
